Milwaukee Esports Alliance Collegiate Support
Below, are the different varieties of support that can be provided through the Milwaukee Esports Alliance and our affiliate partners.
To help Universities determine which level of support may be the right fit, we’ve helped break down the variety of “phases” we have seen schools typically fall into – listed below:
Phase 0: Research - Information Gather
A school that is new to esports and has not yet had conversations around the idea of starting a program. Currently looking to start gathering information.
Phase 1: Research - Information Analysis
A school that is familiar with esports and has begun exploring the idea of starting an esports program. Is looking for more information to help make their decision.
Phase 2: Committed - Partial Program Investment
A school that has committed to starting an esports program, but is looking to start with a pilot/reduced version initially. This could be done as a strategy to prove worth, or as a way to accommodate a smaller initial budget.
Phase 3: Committed - Full Program Investment
A school that is fully committed to create and grow an esports program long-term. The program is being started from scratch but has full support of the school, including approval for staffing.
Phase 4: Active - Program Up and Running
A school that already has a school-supported esports program active in some capacity, whether in athletics, club or other. There is some level of staffing in place to support the actively competing program.
Phase 5: Active - Program in-Transition
A school with an established esports program, actively engaged in competitive activities, recently experienced the departure of a Director or Coach. The school is currently seeking a replacement for the departed staff member to sustain or enhance the program’s success.
A Variety of Ways to Partner
With an understanding of the different phases along the journey your school may fall within, next up is how we can come alongside you, no matter where you are, to accelerate your esports program.
