Milwaukee based Sprecher Brewing recently announced its expansion into the energy drink category with the purchase of Juvee from global gaming and lifestyle brand, 100 Thieves. Short for rejuvenation, the brand was launched in 2022 by 100 Thieves CEO Matthew Haag and co-founder Sam Keene. Over the past year, Juvee has grown revenues by 400%, driven mostly by the dedicated online community.

Recently, the WI Smash Ultimate Summit was held in the Bucks Gaming Lounge, downtown Milwaukee. This invitational event brought 16 of the most talented players from across Wisconsin together to compete in a friendly competition. The 16 was made up of PR auto qualifiers, vote-ins, and others who qualified at various tournaments across the state. A round robin into double elimination bracket made for high quality matches throughout, resulting in one of the most watched smash events for Wisconsin in several years. Two UW-River Falls esports student athletes were recently named to the SSBMRank’s latest annual Top 100 Super Smash Bro’s Melee Global Rankings. While Ben at No. 30 is a returning member to the list after landing in No. 31 during SSBMRank’s Summer 2023 rankings, Anthony is a brand-new addition to the power rankings at No. 81.
