27 Jun Meet the Community – Matt Audino
- Who are you? (First and Last Name)
- My name is Matt Audino
- What Organization do you represent? (As it relates to why you’d be getting highlighted in an Esports Newsletter)
-
I represent Marquette University Esports.
-
- Why do you personally believe esports is important, both to our region and in general?
-
I think esports is important because it’s not just about competing, working to improve our skills and represent our schools and our organizations, but also because esports brings people together with something we all enjoy. No matter what kind of game, rogue-like, first person shooter, strategy, MOBA, we all share a love for the same kind of fun that lets us connect with each other, whether becoming friends with amazing people we never would’ve met otherwise, or keeping in touch with the friends that have been with us since childhood.
-
- What games did you grow up playing and what are you playing the most now?
-
I grew up playing the staples, Call of Duty and Halo (with a little bit of Destiny), but since then I’ve really been enjoying Counter Strike and Hades.
-
- If you could only play one game for the rest of your life, what would it be?
-
If I could only play one game for the rest of my life, I’d have to pick Risk of Rain 2.
